About the Role
The role will be a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager (depending on experience level) for both our client and to the CEO for bookkeeping of personal investments. There will be growth potential in the role as the company is experiencing significant growth and new investments.
- Accounting Operations
- Policies/Procedures: Help establish & enforce proper accounting methods, policies, controls & procedures
- Monthly Financials: Help prepare journal entries, standard accruals & overall financial statement preparation
- Cash/Bank Reconciliations: Perform bank and cash reconciliations
- Division/Class Coding: Help establish class codings for improved reporting by division/projects
- Fixed Asset Review: Maintain quality records on fixed assets
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Management
- Accounts Payable: Own and support the full Accounts Payable lifecycle
- Accounts Receivable: Help support tracking of all AR
- Vendor Relationships: Manage vendor/customer relationships and resolve discrepancies
- CFO & Finance Support
- Financial Forecasting: Help prepare financial data and analysis for budgeting & forecasting
- New Deal Structuring: Help support new deal structuring with economic analysis
- Board Presentations: Help support board deck preparation
- Tax Support: Assisting in tax compliance
- Audit Support: Assist in any financial audit
CEO Personal Bookkeeping Role Profile
- Bookkeeping: Full ownership of bookkeeping on smaller, more passive investments for CEO
- Property Tax Compliance: Keep up with all property tax payments
- Oil & Gas Mineral Tracking: Maintain records on all mineral interests
- Light AR & AP Management: Keep up with the light amount of ongoing AR/AP on these more passive investments
- Other CEO Accounting Support: Various accounting/finance support to the CEO on personal investments
Qualifications
- At least 2–5 years of experience in public accounting (audit preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable with operational work
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- High integrity and discretion
- Desire to grow into a leadership role
Preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar ERP
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting
- CPA or CPA-track
