Staff Accountant (9634)

Our client in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic Finance team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in their Farmers Branch office. The Staff Accountant will process transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare financial reports to support the company’s financial management in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update accounting records and files
• Post transactions and categorize records accurately
• Reconcile bank statements and monthly financial reports
• Prepare and process invoices for clients and suppliers
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budgets
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal controls
• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting processes
• Support the preparation of tax documents and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement efficient bookkeeping practices and policies
   

Education & Experience

• Bachelors or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting or related experience
• Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
