Position Overview
Our client, a well-established wealth management firm, is seeking a Service Advisor to support advisors in delivering comprehensive financial planning and exceptional client service. This role serves as a key point of contact for clients, assisting with financial plan preparation, ongoing relationship management, and day-to-day service needs.
The Service Advisor will work closely with senior advisors to help clients understand their financial position, retirement goals, investment strategies, and overall financial plans. This position offers a clear path for growth within the organization and is ideal for individuals interested in building a long-term career in financial planning and wealth management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support advisors in managing client relationships and delivering a high level of client service.
- Participate in client meetings, gather financial information, and assist with preparing financial plans and recommendations.
- Help clients understand their financial plans, investment performance, retirement goals, and progress toward achieving those goals.
- Serve as a primary contact for day-to-day client requests, account inquiries, and service-related needs.
- Prepare client meeting materials, reports, financial planning documents, and other deliverables.
- Coordinate account maintenance activities, including transfers, money movement requests, and new account documentation.
- Ensure client records, documentation, and financial information remain accurate and up to date.
- Research planning topics and assist advisors with developing financial planning recommendations.
- Partner with internal team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of client service requests.
- Maintain a proactive, relationship-focused approach while providing ongoing support to clients and advisors.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years of professional experience in financial services, accounting, tax, banking, or a related field.
- Strong client service and relationship management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, banking, public accounting, tax, or related professional services.
- CFP®, CPA, ChFC®, or progress toward obtaining a professional designation.
- Experience with financial planning software, CRM systems, or investment platforms.
- Familiarity with eMoney, Salesforce, or similar systems.
Licensing
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 65 (or equivalent) preferred.
- Candidates without licenses must be willing and able to obtain required licenses within a reasonable timeframe after hire. Support for licensing will be provided.
