Senior Financial Analyst
The Senior Financial Analyst will manage the full-cycle monthly accounting process, focusing on fund accounting and ensuring compliance with 2 CFR 200, OMB federal guidance, and Federal Cost Principles. The role requires expertise in both Accrual and Cash basis Accounting, with oversight from the CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in agency audits (990, SEFA, SOFE, and programmatic audits).
- Coordinate with the CFO on daily accounting tasks, including payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets, and recording revenue and expenses.
- Prepare month-end reports and reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts to enable timely reimbursements.
- Generate and analyze monthly Statements of Revenue and Expense, including budget variances.
- Review and approve payroll reports and journal entries; process payroll bank transfers.
- Manage AR/AP follow-ups and revenue recognition.
- Contribute to Finance Department goals and participate in weekly meetings.
- Support finance service improvements for staff, funders, subcontractors, and subrecipients.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration and improve finance team efficiency.
Additional Duties:
- Assist in program and annual budget preparation.
- Participate in monthly reporting and forecasting for the Finance Committee.
- Support business process improvements and strategic planning.
- Monitor KPIs and agency performance benchmarks.
- Prepare training materials for staff development.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong collaborative, project management, and communication skills (Spanish preferred).
- Expertise in accounting, auditing, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ability to prepare financial reports for grants and proposals.
- Ethical conduct, leadership, problem-solving, and technical capacity.
