The Financial Analyst is a hybrid role, reporting to the Plano office, and is responsible for applying principles of accounting for the US and Canada by leading the budgeting forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis, and performing the following key functions for US and CAN:
The Financial Analyst is a hybrid role, reporting to the Plano office, and is responsible for applying principles of accounting for the US and Canada by leading the budgeting forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis, and performing the following key functions for US and CAN:
- Assist with the capital budgeting and expenditure planning process;
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales and expenses;
- Perform budgeting variance and forecasting analysis for various levels of management;
- Help implement, document processes & procedures, organize and ensure continuous improvement.
- Keep knowledge and personal training up to date, conduct market intelligence and check news to keep up to date with latest technologies and market trends;
- Additional duties as needed.
This role will report to the Director of Finance.
- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Develop and maintain analysis tools relevant to the business, answer ad-hoc queries.
- Ensure budget tracking, assess CAPEX and OPEX requests, purchase orders, etc.
- Provide the sales and other teams with timely and meaningful analyses of sales and gross margin data.
- Use business acumen, ERP and BI tools, work on business plans as required and provide support to all departments with financial / business analysis, creating and assessing KPIs and projects and activities ratios (volume, price, mix effects, ROI, IRR, NPV, payback), identifying trends and making recommendations.
- Produce monthly estimates, forecasts, budgets, commentaries on P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, etc.
- Business Analysis and IT
- Collect and formalise requirements from finance and other departments in terms of reports and other tools .
- Build up reports and dashboards in NetSuite, MS Excel and business intelligence tools.
- Understand the mechanisms of the systems and liaise with the IT officer/service to develop functionalities as required.

- Assist Accounting with month and year end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy of business financial transactions and activity through use of a CRM system(s), and reviewing transactions and reconcile as needed through journal entries.

- Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in finance and/or accounting, Master’s degree highly regarded;
- CPA a plus, but not required;
- 2 to 3 years in a similar or equivalent position, preferably with an experience in multinational companies with exposure to best practices;
- 2+ years of NetSuite and Power BI experience a plus;
- Experience in a multi products company, FMCG type or medical devices;
