We are working with a client in the DFW area that is looking for an experienced Cisco Network Admin. This position is on site 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN environments
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance and connectivity issues
- Implement network changes following established change management processes
- Support network security technologies, including firewalls, access controls, and VPNs
- Assist with hardware upgrades, infrastructure projects, and cloud connectivity
- Maintain network documentation and operational procedures
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers as needed
- Participate in on-call support rotations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of network administration or engineering experience
- Experience supporting Cisco routing and switching environments
- Strong knowledge of VLANs, STP, QoS, OSPF, EIGRP, ACLs, NAT/PAT, and VPN technologies
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, network monitoring tools, and authentication services
- Experience with cloud networking and hybrid environments preferred
- CCNA strongly preferred; CCNP or equivalent is a plus
- Exposure to enterprise voice/unified communications systems is a plus
