Controller (Remote role)
**** O&G Service industry experience required****
Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and project/job costing
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Support the CEO and leadership team with clear financial reporting, dashboards, and key performance metrics
• Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and tax advisors
• Implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to build a strong, accountable team
• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis to support operational and strategic decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership responsibility.
• Industry experience in oilfield services required
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-state accounting and payroll operations a plus
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (experience with NetSuite or similar is highly valued)
