Summary:
Reporting to the Benefits Manager, the Benefits Analyst supports retirement and pension programs, assisting employees with enrollment, loans, rollovers, hardships, and benefit inquiries. This role provides analytical, technical, and compliance support to ensure accurate administration of retirement plans, and serves as a subject matter expert for plan governance.
Responsibilities:

Administer 401(k) and pension plans in compliance with plan documents and federal/state laws.

Advise employees, retirees, and beneficiaries on retirement benefits, policies, and procedures.

Conduct calculations, monitor benefit payments, and manage participant records.

Partner with vendors, auditors, and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting, audits, valuations, and special projects.

Research trends, regulations, and recommend plan improvements.

Support open enrollment, mergers & acquisitions, and group/individual benefit presentations.

Respond to employee inquiries, analyze issues, and implement process improvements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration.

Strong knowledge of retirement/pension regulations (401(k), ERISA, IRS Section 125, etc.).

Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; Workday experience preferred.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
