Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant who will be a self-driven, proactive, and detail-oriented contributor. Who will assist with Corporate Accounting activities and other related financial responsibilities as needed. They will play an essential role in keeping our client’s financial outlook bright with precision and proactive measures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including cash for multiple entities
- Prepare monthly and singular journal entries
- Responsible for intercompany accounting and reconciliation
- Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
- Assist with the month-end close process, including analysis and entries
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned
- Support management in monthly variance analysis and annual budget preparation
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in accounting or related field, or Master’s Degree preferred
- Two plus years’ experience in accounting or a related field
- Strong understanding of basic accounting
- CPA certification or working towards certification preferred
- Big 4 Audit experience preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- Utility industry experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Strong analysis with attention to detail and accuracy
