Job Description
Job Title: Wireless Product Tester
Position Summary
Helping our client seek a Wireless Product Tester to support the quality assurance, customer support, and inside sales efforts for our wireless products and software releases. This role focuses on hands-on testing of new hardware and software loads, identifying defects, assisting customers with technical issues, and supporting the sales team with product knowledge and demonstrations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable interacting with both internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Software Testing
- Perform functional, regression, and basic performance testing on new wireless products and software loads
- Execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures
- Document defects, test results, and reproduction steps clearly and accurately
- Verify bug fixes and software updates prior to release
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to resolve issues
Quality Assurance
- Ensure products meet defined quality, performance, and usability standards
- Assist in maintaining testing documentation and procedures
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes
Customer Support
- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, or ticketing systems
- Troubleshoot wireless hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Escalate complex issues to engineering or senior support when needed
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions
Inside Sales Assistance
- Support inside sales by answering technical product questions
- Assist with product demonstrations, configurations, and proof-of-concept testing
- Help prepare technical documentation, FAQs, and product comparisons
- Provide feedback from customers to sales and product teams
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in product testing, quality assurance, technical support, or a related role
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of wireless technologies (e.g., cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RF concepts)
- Experience testing hardware and/or software applications
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with test management or defect tracking tools
- Familiarity with mobile devices, embedded systems, or networked products
- Exposure to customer-facing technical roles or inside sales support
- Basic scripting or automation experience is a plus
