Our client, located in Irving, is looking for a Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting to join their team on a contract basis for the next 9-12 months.

Client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities for the organization and other entities within our enterprise. This position requires strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and the ability to manage complex financial processes involving multiple legal entities, intercompany transactions, consolidations, non-working capital accounts, month-end and year-end closing, non-routine transactions.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of our financial reporting and closing activities. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operational Accounting, , FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, , etc.) to help streamline processes, analyze financial data, and provide insights that ultimately lead to strategic decision-making. This is a highly impactful role, as you will be overseeing the closing and reporting process across our broader enterprise, which consists of over 70+ entities. In this role, collaboration with various divisions is key – and will include Treasury, Legal, Tax, Technology, Operations, Procurement, and other areas of Management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end closing and consolidation process, ensuring all financial activities are accurately recorded, consolidated (where applicable) and reported. Ensure all closing processes are consistently completed on time while placing an emphasis on maintaining and developing world class internal controls.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements. Ensure proper adherence to accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, UK GAAP, India GAAP).
- Review key balance sheet accounts across entities including accruals, loans, and other activity ensuring intercompany transactions are properly recorded timely and / or eliminated in consolidation.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement; close the books with substance, including flux analysis that helps drive a deep understanding of the results each period.
- Continuously assess and improve financial reporting and closing processes to enhance controls, efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
- Supervise and mentor a team of Accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Partner with Tax to ensure we have proper financial statement integrity as it relates to tax compliance with federal and state tax filings in the United States as well as International tax compliance (e.g., tax returns, VAT). Assist with book / tax provision models where necessary.
- Partner closely with FP&A by providing accurate accounting results, key drivers, and variance explanations that support their budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial analysis.
- Work directly with external auditors to ensure an efficient audit process, supporting requests, resolving issues, and addressing any findings in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree or CPA designation is a plus).
- At least 10 years of experience in an Accounting leadership role, with an emphasis on closing and reporting, in highly complex environments and managing highly functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Critical thinking skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining workflow efficiency are critical to this role.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, project management and interpersonal abilities.
- ERP and financial systems experience is required; experience with D365 and Coupa would be a plus.
