This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives on operational excellence and employee engagement. The Senior HR Coordinator manages core HR lifecycle activities—from onboarding through payroll support—while partnering closely with a Senior HR Generalist (Sr. HRG). The Sr. HRG provides strategic guidance and leads complex employee relations matters, policy development, and compliance strategy, enabling the Coordinator to focus on site-level execution and high-volume workforce support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR lead for assigned locations, ensuring consistent application of policies and maintaining a visible, approachable presence on the warehouse floor.
- Partner with the Sr. HRG to address complex HR matters; manage initial intake of employee relations concerns and support investigations under guidance.
- Act as a key bilingual resource (English/Spanish) for the workforce; facilitate clear communication, translate materials, and conduct meetings to ensure employees remain informed and engaged.
- Lead full-cycle new hire orientation and onboarding across assigned sites to deliver a seamless and compliant “Day 1” experience.
- Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS; audit timekeeping data and collaborate with payroll to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support execution of organizational change initiatives, ensuring site-level teams understand and adopt new processes during growth or transition periods.
- Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, headcount, attendance trends) for leadership review.
- Support site-level initiatives related to retention, safety culture, engagement, and overall team performance within warehouse and distribution environments.
- Assist with administration of the annual benefits open enrollment process, providing direct employee support and education.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2–4 years of progressive HR experience; experience supporting high-volume operations such as warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environments strongly preferred.
- Bilingual Requirement: Professional fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) required.
- Technical Skills: Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Multi-Site Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage responsibilities across multiple locations with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build trust with frontline associates while maintaining a strong partnership with operational leadership.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of professional office setting and frequent presence on warehouse/distribution floors (exposure to noise, temperature variations, and operating equipment).
- Ability to walk warehouse floors regularly and lift up to 20 lbs. (files and office materials).
- Ability to travel locally between assigned sites as needed (approximately 20–30%).
