Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Guide, review and provide backup support for AR and AP daily transactions in compliance with GAAP
- Produce daily sales and cash report
- Update chart of accounts and accounting master data as required
- Maintain fixed assets, CapEx and related reporting
- Summarize and update accounting on production schedule and inventory status
- Coordinate reviews and updates of BOM for costing completeness
- Assist in improvements of accounting process and procedures
Month-end Process
- Support the monthly closing process by calendar and timeline
- Ensure closings of functional modules (AR, AP, Production, Inventory etc.)
- Reconcile AR, AP, and Inventory reports with GL
- Reconcile bank statements and cash transactions
- Prepare monthly schedules (amortization, accruals, etc.)
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Produce balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement
- Prepare preliminary analysis of variances and fluctuations
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Support preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Measure operational results, financial performance, cost analysis and provide insights
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reports to senior management
Technical Accounting
- Support preparation of accounting memos for standard procedures
- Assist in staff training of accounting techniques
- Support annual audit
- Responsible for statutory reports and support for applicable taxes filings
Internal Controls and Risk Management
- Implement cost control measures to safeguard assets and enhance profitability
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting principles and company policies
- Identify and mitigate financial risks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a staff or senior accountant in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated understanding and application of GAAP principles in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience in financial reporting and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated understanding and oversight of AR, AP & PO processes
