Senior Accountant: 

Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:

• Assist in improving company-wide policies and procedures for AP processing and employee expense reimbursements
• Review and reconcile a high volume of invoices through an automated system
• Process manual invoices and checks on an as-needed basis
• Weekly AP cycle: enter invoices, AP aging review, payment runs
• Reconcile vendor accounts
• Research and troubleshoot discrepancies with vendor invoices/payments
• Set up new vendors per company policy, including tracking all vendor W-9s
• Process distribution payments to investors
• Monitor cash balances and record adjustments to daily cash registers and upload checks 
• Assist in 1099 review
• Reconcile monthly credit card statements

Bookkeeping:

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in a timely basis
• Accurately record transactions and journal adjustments to close the GL to ensure the timely preparation of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Review and analyze general ledger account balances and prepare related account reconciliations.
• Assist in the Preparation of the balance sheet, profit and loss statements, Cash Flow, and other financial reports. Review with the Controller and record any necessary adjustments for final reports. Distribute financials and departmental reports to the relevant parties
• Assist in answering questions of outside bookkeeping firm
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly distribution files for Controller
• Ad hoc projects as assigned by Principals, Sr Controller & Controller

Qualifications:

•  Bachelor’s or Associate degree a plus
• QuickBooks Online a plus, basic Excel skills required, intermediate a plus
• Full-cycle AP experience 
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate both internally and externally
• Able to process a high number of invoices and transactions in a reasonably fast-paced environment
• Willing to pitch in for the betterment of team, even when outside of normal job description
