Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Perform and support process for month-end, quarterly and annual closing procedures and activities.
• Implementation and maintenance of accounting controls, policies and procedures; and strong operational support to maintain timely and accurate job costing.
• Review and post all Staff Accountants journal entries.
• Centralization of off-site accounting functions.
• Monitoring and updating accounting procedures for the organization.
• Meet all process and reporting deadlines.
• Assist and guide other members of the accounting team as needed.
• Participate in department projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 5+ years accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. Master’s degree in accounting preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel required.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Sage Intacct required. Experience with Sage 100 preferred.
• Ability to perform basic accounting duties such as completing journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals with minimal assistance.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Teams.
• Strong understanding of journal entries.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.
