The Human Resources Director will be responsible for innovating and executing continuous improvement in our HR strategies and processes. This business-minded, proven leader will partner with the other leadership team members to create, guide, and support processes and programs that strengthen the team member experience. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Owns being a strategic HR business partner for leadership in driving overall business success.
- Experience in working at a growth minded middle market company in a senior level role.
- Provide functional/operational human resources guidance through planning, organizing, and controlling HR activities.
- Collaborate in the ongoing development and execution of team development including coaching, counseling, career growth, performance improvement.
- Oversees training and execution to effectively onboard new team members.
- Ensures the execution and completion of required training and ensures that we are in legal compliance with state and local regulations.
- Implement and reinforce compliance with new and existing policies, procedures.
- Provides oversight to lead administration, payroll, investigations, and data analysis.
- Serve as a functional resource for team members, ensuring their understanding and compliance with benefits and HR policies.
- Facilitates, in conjunction with other members of the leadership team, the coaching and performance feedback to team members.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of federal and state employment law as it pertains to workers compensation, payroll, hiring, termination, and other employment related matters.
- Able to assess and prioritize staffing needs and drive strategy to improve staffing levels.
- Effectively uses systems and technology within the HR function and supports administrative function as needed. Paycor experience a plus.
- Champions the relationship with our insurance partner and the Open Enrollment process and possesses basic benefits knowledge.
- Oversight to merit and compensation processes.
- Maintains confidentiality and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Manage and resolve team members relations issues.
- Work closely with HR teams, firm leadership, and offices to develop strong working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Key Skills
- Strong HR Generalist knowledge or experience in multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, team member relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of team members.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent influencing skills; ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s interpersonal relationship, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Ability to adapt quickly to growth related challenges, plan, execute and deliver multi-phase strategic HR initiatives and champion organizational change.
- Results orientation to get things done quickly and efficiently.

- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS, Paycor preferred.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or related or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years progressive experience managing HR process and people.
- Experience managing and leading HR team.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certifications, either SPHR or SPC
