Our Client is looking for a Director or Senior Director of Accounting to lead their accounting team, drive process improvements, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role oversees the monthly close process, internal reporting, and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP). You’ll work closely with finance leadership to establish efficient accounting policies and streamline operations to support company growth. Responsibilities include managing and mentoring the accounting team, improving internal controls, and driving process improvements. This position also plays a key role in system upgrades and implementing new tools to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimize the monthly close process.
- Oversee variance analysis and reporting against budgets.
- Manage and develop accounting staff.
- Implement process improvements and maintain internal controls.
- Support audits and compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with finance leadership to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements:
- CPA certification and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 10+ years of experience in corporate accounting and auditing.
- 7+ years in leadership roles, managing large teams.
- Experience in fast-paced environments and proficiency with accounting systems.
