October 29, 2026A rapidly growing organization is seeking a Technical Accounting Director for a newly created role reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer. This position offers the opportunity to strengthen financial reporting capabilities, advise on complex transactions, and partner with an experienced, supportive accounting leader.
Key Responsibilities

Lead SEC reporting, including preparation and review of quarterly and annual filings.

Research complex accounting matters, prepare technical analyses, and advise leadership on U.S. GAAP.

Oversee revenue recognition, including accounting judgments related to long-term projects and contracts.

Support acquisition accounting, purchase price allocations, and multi-entity consolidations.

Provide guidance on leases, stock-based compensation, and other technical accounting matters.

Strengthen accounting policies, reporting processes, and internal controls.

Coordinate with external auditors to support timely reporting and resolution of accounting issues.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

CPA required.

Seven or more years of progressive experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, or audit.

Demonstrated experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings and applying ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance.

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including experience researching complex accounting matters and preparing technical documentation.

Public-company experience strongly preferred. Candidates with a combination of public accounting and industry experience, as well as Senior Managers directly from public accounting, will be considered.

Experience with lease accounting, business combinations, and multi-entity consolidations preferred. Familiarity with stock-based compensation is a plus.

Construction, industrial services, or other project-based industry experience preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting matters to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
