Cost Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Standard Costing: Develop and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead; lead annual cost roll and updates.
• ERP & Transactions: Monitor purchasing, production, and inventory flows; resolve system issues with IT and Operations.
• Inventory Valuation: Ensure accurate valuation under US GAAP; reconcile raw materials, WIP, and finished goods; support audits and cycle counts.
• Variance Analysis: Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances; provide actionable insights and margin analysis.
• Financial Close: Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements; assist with audits and tax compliance.
• Compliance: Manage state/local tax filings and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 4 – 7+ years of progressive cost accounting experience.
• Manufacturing or Food Manufacturing a must
• CPA highly preferred
• JDE Experience is nice to have
