December 9, 2024Retail client in far north Texas is looking for an experienced Controller to join their team. Responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, completing monthly close and reconciling bank statements. He/She will oversee one staff accountant and assure their task are being completed accurately. Individual will assist CFO with annual budgets and any other responsibilities as needed.
Assigned Duties
- Cash and AP management
- Process new customer applications
- Approve and set up vendors.
- Reconcile bank transaction weekly.
- Approve and submit weekly A/P and transfer sheet to the CFO.
- Support human resources as needed.
- Manage and reconcile sales tax on a monthly basis.
- Manage purchase orders.
- Manage assets.
- Prepare financials (reviewed by CFO).
- Prepare 1099s on an annual basis.
Assigned Duties – MONTHLY CLOSE
- Prepare financials (reviewed by CFO)
- Bank Reconciliations
- Intercompany transactions.
- Loan reconciliations
- Monthly prepaid expenses
- Other close items as assigned
Required Experience
- Five years accounting experience
- Strong excel experience
- Inventory experience
- Bachelor's Degree
