We are hiring a Corporate Controller to lead our accounting team and help transform our accounting processes. You will design the roadmap to improve and maintain our existing accounting systems and processes, including improving controls and efficiency in a high transaction processing environment. You will be a trusted advisor and partner to the CFO. We are looking for someone who will enjoy being in a performance-oriented, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
· Oversee accounting, accounts payable, cash and treasury management, and financial reporting across 14+ companies.
· Responsibility for monthly financial reporting of multiple companies (14+), each with their own instance of Quickbooks and a corporate consolidation.
· Lead the conversion from cash basis accounting to GAAP accounting.
· Design, develop and maintain accounting policies, practices, and procedures with a strong internal control framework.
· Hands-on treasury and cash management with over 70 bank accounts at multiple banks Including daily account transfers.
· Responsible for preparing weekly cash forecasts to review with the CFO.
· Responsible for credit card payment processing with high transaction volumes including working with processing companies.
· Lead the accounting organization in process improvements to gain greater efficiency and accuracy while meeting deadlines. Great at rolling up your sleeves, while teaching your team.
· “Roll up sleeves” and dive into any issue or complete any task, no matter how small or large, to achieve an excellent outcome.
· Coordinate external audits and tax filings for multiple companies with external CPAs including compliance with insurance regulatory reporting, financial and tax requirements.
· Serve as a key resource and advisor to the CFO and company management around initiatives, activities, or processes with an impact on the business’s financial well-being.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with CPA preferred
· 10-15+ years of progressive accounting experience with public accounting experience preferred
· Prior experience in fast-paced entrepreneurial environments with a large number of small companies and high volume of intercompany transactions
· Hands-on expertise with Quickbooks Desktop or Enterprise
· Prior experience with resolving issues with credit card payment processors preferred
· Strong experience with cash management and treasury function
· Deep technical accounting knowledge of GAAP and cash basis accounting
· Excellent Excel expertise with large data sets including utilizing vlookups, xlookups, pivots, index match, and nesting of complex formulas.
· Familiar with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filings
· Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
