Accounting Manager

The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team in Dallas. This leadership role will oversee corporate and international accounting functions while managing a team of three Staff Accountants. The position offers a combination of technical accounting, people leadership, financial reporting, and process improvement within a well-established, financially strong organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three Staff Accountants.
• Oversee corporate and international accounting activities.
• Manage the month-end close process across multiple departments.
• Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end analyses.
• Oversee monthly intercompany accounting and related analysis.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors during the annual financial statement audit.
• Research and assist with accounting for new and complex transactions.
• Drive process improvements through automation, AI, and other technology initiatives.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• MBA preferred.
