We are assisting a growing start-up firm providing outsourced accounting leadership to clients across multiple industries is seeking a hands-on CPA to lead full-cycle accounting engagements. This role requires strong inventory accounting expertise and the ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounting: GL, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, month-end/year-end close
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Manage inventory and cost accounting (COGS analysis, inventory valuation, reconciliations)
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Assist with preparing companies for sale, including financial clean-up and due diligence readiness (preferred)
- Serve as a key accounting partner to clients; conduct hybrid onsite visits to Allen-based client
Qualifications
- Active CPA (required)
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong full-cycle accounting background
- Hands-on inventory and cost accounting experience
- Experience supporting M&A or preparing a business for sale (plus)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
