We are assisting our client in a search for a highly capable Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Business Analyst to support and optimize our enterprise ERP environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of daily business operations by serving as a functional subject matter expert within the D365 F&O platform, with a strong emphasis on Finance modules.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on functional Business Analyst with proven experience configuring and supporting D365 F&O in a manufacturing or distribution environment. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders, and comfort operating in an onsite, collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary functional SME for D365 F&O Finance modules, including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Cash & Bank Management
- Fixed Assets
- Configure and enhance D365 F&O functionality to support business and financial processes.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and drive system improvements.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional specifications.
- Support and analyze business processes across Finance and other D365 F&O functional areas, including Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
- Manage and resolve day-to-day system issues, enhancements, and support requests.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, business process flows, and end-user training materials.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and external partners on integrations and new functionality.
- Perform data analysis and reporting to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Provide training and ongoing support to end users to ensure effective system adoption.
- Leverage modern productivity tools, including AI solutions (e.g., ChatGPT), to accelerate research, documentation, and problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and/or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Strong functional expertise and configuration experience within D365 F&O Finance modules.
- Experience supporting additional functional areas such as Supply Chain or Manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working in an onsite environment with cross-functional teams.
