The Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights.
Key Responsibilities –
Financial Management
- Provide cash flow statement for accurate payment disbursement
- Provide Accurate P&L – Closed out Monthly and Locked
- Provide Accurate Balance Sheet – Closed out Monthly & Locked
- Ensure Bank accounts are reconciled no later than 15 days after month close
- Ensure credit cards are reconciled no later than 15 days after month close
Accounts Payable
- 1099 Preparation
- Oversee/Support American Express weekly coding
- Review company AP prior to posting to GL
- Oversee Vendor Setup and Audit to ensure proper records
- Oversee subcontractor setup for progress billings
- Entering AP invoices
Accounts Receivable
- Aging report review
- Cash receipts and allocations
Treasury Management
- Oversee line of credit usage and completion of bank requirements
- Submit quarterly bank financial reports
- Profit and Tax Allocations
- Build up Company Reserves
- Positive Pay
Tax Prep
- File monthly Bank Statements in Shared CPA File
- File monthly Loan Statements in Shared CPA File
- Work with CPA to calculate and pay Texas Franchise Tax
- Oversee sales & use tax calculations and payments
