Position Overview:
Our client in Mesquite is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant who will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of our organization. This position focuses on general ledger accounting and detail reporting along with complex bank reconciliation oversight and a variety of other accounting responsibilities.

Our client in Mesquite is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant who will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of our organization. This position focuses on general ledger accounting and detail reporting along with complex bank reconciliation oversight and a variety of other accounting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bank Reconciliation:

- Oversee daily and monthly complex bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for all reconciled accounts.
- Financial Closing:

- Support preparation for subsidiary entity period end closing by monitoring transactions.
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
- Assist in month-end close processes, reconcile balance sheet items including maintaining prepaid, accrual schedules, maintain inventory valuation and fixed assets depreciation schedules in the system.
- Assist in ensuring expenses are correctly posted.
- Financial Reporting and analysis:

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in weekly cash, forecasted cash, AR and sales reporting.
- Assist in oversight and analysis of inventories and cost of goods sold as needed.
- Maintains subsidiary reporting and allocations.
- Provide detailed analysis and reports to support financial decision-making.
- Assist in budgeting process.
- Compliance and Auditing:

- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices in accordance with GAAP.
- General ledger and financial statements knowledge.
- Proficiency in MS Excel including vlookups and pivot tables.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality on data.
