The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting for multiple entities. They will support and assist the Accounting Manager, Chief of Finance and CFO on all ad hoc reporting and other Finance Department needs
Main Accountabilities & Activities
- Responsible for the analysis and maintenance of the general ledger of multiple entities, ensuring accuracy of account coding and costs.
- Responsible for reconciliation of all Operating cash and intercompany accounts for all entities.
- Responsible for preparation of all month-end entries for all entities, including payroll, expense accruals and sales entries.
- Responsible for monthly preparation and maintenance of all balance sheet account reconciliations for all entities.
- Responsible for assisting the AR and AP teams members with GL questions, review and direction.
- Responsible for maintenance of the Fixed Asset schedules for all entities, posting monthly depreciation entries and schedules.
- Responsible for assisting with annual budgets and forecasts.
- Responsible for assisting Chief of Finance and Accounting Manager with monthly/quarterly financial statement review and worksheets.
- Responsible for coordinating with Accounting Manager outstanding Cash, AR and AP issues, month-end close tasks and concerns, and provides process updates as needed.
- Collaborates with the Accounting Manager and Chief of Finance on tax filings and documentation and provides audit support when needed.
Know-How & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 – 5 years accounting experience demonstrating a strong proficiency with Accounting and Financial principles.
- Retail or Consumer Products company experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP By Design a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Intermediate knowledge of Teams and Outlook.
- Some Treasury knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to be effective at communicating with all levels of the organization as well as consultants, external vendors and customers.
