Irving area client is seeking two Fixed Asset Reconciliation Analysts to join their team on a contract basis.
Client is seeking two highly detail-oriented Fixed Asset Reconciliation Analysts to support a critical, time-sensitive reconciliation initiative. In this role, you will perform manual, component-level reconciliation between the Fixed Asset subledger and DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) system records across multiple entities.
This position is well-suited for professionals experienced in fixed asset accounting, complex reconciliations, and audit-ready documentation. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the Fixed Asset register as client establishes independent financial reporting and audit structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed, manual reconciliation of Fixed Asset subledger data to DCIM system records at the component level.
- Validate asset attributes including asset ID, hierarchy, cost, useful life, capitalization date, and physical/operational configuration.
- Identify and document variances such as missing assets, duplicates, mis-capitalizations, and configuration mismatches.
- Conduct root-cause analysis using source transactions, system extracts, asset registers, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, DCIM system owners, and Data Governance teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and support asset adjustment recommendations, including corrections, reclassifications, and system updates aligned with accounting policy.
- Maintain complete, traceable reconciliation workpapers that meet internal and external audit standards.
- Track progress against milestones, escalating data-quality or timeline risks when necessary.
- Support period-end close and readiness activities related to Fixed Assets.
- Deliver weekly reconciliation status updates, issue logs, and leadership summaries.
Key Deliverables
- Completed FA-to-DCIM component-level reconciliation across all in-scope entities.
- Variance and exception documentation with financial impacts, root causes, and remediation tracking.
- Audit-ready workpapers supporting reconciliation methodology, assumptions, and conclusions.
- Adjustment support packages for proposed updates to the Fixed Asset system.
- Weekly dashboards and executive summaries highlighting progress and risks.
- Final sign-off package confirming alignment of FA and DCIM records and documenting any residual issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- 3–5 years of experience in Fixed Asset accounting, large-scale reconciliation, or asset lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with manual reconciliations across financial and operational systems.
- Strong knowledge of Fixed Asset accounting (capitalization, depreciation, impairments, write-downs, retirements).
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, data analysis functions).
- Proven ability to produce audit-ready documentation for financial close and external audits.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with incomplete or evolving data.
