We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Experienced Corporate Accountant to join our accounting team.
Responsibilities
Month-End and Year-End Close
- Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and perform necessary adjustments.
- Perform flux analysis, account reconciliations and transactional research monthly and on an ad-hoc basis.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, ensuring compliance and providing necessary documentation.
Process Improvement and Systems Enhancement
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancements to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.
- Actively participate in system implementations or upgrades related to financial systems, providing subject matter expertise and user support.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as finance, operations, and legal to support strategic initiatives and address financial matters.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing insights and recommendations on accounting principles, policies, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is highly preferred, not required.
- 1 – 3+ years in corporate accounting or public accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
