Our client, located in Addison, is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team on a contract, possibly contract-to-hire, basis.
This role is 100% onsite.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be skilled in full-cycle AP and AR
- Able to assist with some GL work, like reconciliations
- QuickBooks experience is required
- NetSuite experience is helpful
- Quantum experience is helpful
- Excel skills are necessary
Required Education and Experience:
- QuickBooks experience, required.
- Intermediate Excel experience, required.
- 4+ years of related job experience in an accounting department, required.
- NetSuite, Quantum, Mac OS experience, a plus.
Primary Duties:
- Primary focus will be on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, however will also perform General Accounting duties as needed within the Accounting Team.
- Generate Client invoices and account statements.
- Enter Vendor Invoices.
- Maintain the Client invoicing and Vendor payable systems.
- Research and resolve AR/AP irregularities.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Maintain AR & AP files and records.
- Respond to Customer and Vendor inquiries.
- Maintain Customer and Vendor information.
- Credit Card entry and reconciliations.
- Produce management reports.
- Assist in monthly financial close.
- Copy, file, and retrieve materials for accounts, as needed.
- Relay information to appropriate employees, customers and vendors as needed.
- Perform other duties, as assigned, within the accounting team and business.
Abilities Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Thorough knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting Processes and best practices.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
- Ability to work independently, with little supervision, or with a team.
- Ability to follow directions and complete work, including data entry, with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability and willingness to learn, take on new responsibilities, and adapt to chang.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, anticipate work needs, and be proactive and resourceful in addressing work-related concerns.
- Ability to exercise good judgement and make sound decisions regarding customer accounts.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize assignments.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
