Our client, located in Irving, is looking for an Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant to join their team.
Client is seeking a Senior Accountant/ Accounting Manager with a strong foundation in accounting and a proven ability to drive transformation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is excited to contribute to the evolution and modernization of accounting processes. This individual will play a key role in both traditional accounting responsibilities and strategic transformation initiatives aimed at improving accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute accounting tasks related to month-end close, general ledger management, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Own and improve accounting functions such as payroll, lease accounting, prepaids, and accruals.
- Assist with intercompany accounting and ensure integrity of balances across multiple entities.
- Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses to support a faster, more efficient, and more accurate close process.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Legal to support business operations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP while applying forward-thinking approaches to accounting and reporting.
- ·Prepare financial statements and provide timely, comprehensive analysis to support management decision making and strategic planning.
- Facilitate the timely completion of financial statement audits, working with external audit teams, ensuring accurate and timely provision of documentation and adherence to required accounting standards.
- Support the preparation and submission of regulatory filings in compliance with applicable accounting and reporting requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA eligibility required (CPA preferred).
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in an organization undergoing transformation.
- Deep understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Strong experience with large ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Excellent Excel skills and a passion for leveraging data to improve decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to understand end-to-end processes, anticipate cross-functional impacts, navigate complexity, and connect detailed work to broader business objectives to deliver scalable, long term solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Critical thinking skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining workflow efficiency are critical to this role.
