Job Description
The Role: The Accounting Manager/Controller is responsible for daily execution of the finances for the organization. Responsibilities include cash management, accounting, and bookkeeping duties, and performing other business and administrative operations. This person will also assist with presenting financial data to management and payroll processing.
Requirements:
- Five to Ten or more years of accounting and finance or bookkeeping experience, with a bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Corporate accounting experience required
Skills:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Software and Sage 50 or a similar software
- Must have full-cycle accounting experience for a similar size organization (<$15M annually)
- Strong excel experience – Pivot Tables required
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, be very detail-oriented, self-motivated, and be good at problem-solving
- Organization and communication skills are also required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the budgeting process
- Assist with month end close and monthly reporting
- Responsible for updating weekly analysis and reports
- Help to analyze and present financial data to management
- Record journal entries on a monthly basis
- Reconcile cash accounts and verify transactions are properly recorded
- Oversee cash management and import all receivables and payables on a daily basis
- Oversee payroll processing and assist in filing all necessary Federal and State tax forms
- Work with Business Managers at various locations to ensure timely processing of all billing and additional reporting responsibilities
- Maintain finance policy and procedure documents
- Assist partners in managing the financial operations of the organization
- Assist with general office and administrative tasks
