VP, Corporate Controller
A growing organization is seeking a VP, Corporate Controller to lead its accounting operations and financial reporting function. Reporting to the CFO, this role will oversee the company’s accounting processes, financial reporting, and internal controls while partnering with executive leadership to support strategic growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience building scalable accounting processes within a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, tax, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Lead and develop the accounting team while fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
- Partner with executive leadership to support financial decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Manage external audit relationships and coordinate the annual financial statement audit process.
- Support process improvements, systems implementations, and operational efficiencies within the finance function.
- Oversee cash management and financial reporting processes.
- Support mergers and acquisitions activities, including financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax requirements.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting high-growth organizations.
- Prior exposure to mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration.
- Proven leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
