Remote client is looking for a Workday Functional Systems Consultant on a part-time remote basis.
Core Problems This Consultant Must Solve
1. Poor Original Implementation
a. Workday was not well architected, and optimization never happened.
Focus: Tenant health review, identify structural gaps, prioritize reconfiguration vs. optimization.
2. Siloed Processes & Heavy Manual Work
a. Workday is not driving workflows; teams rely on workarounds.
Focus: Reconnect functional areas and align system design to end-to-end processes.
3. Data Integrity & Reporting Gaps
a. They cannot produce basic metrics like retention and turnover.
Focus: Fix foundational configuration, standardize processes, and rebuild dashboards.
4. Benefits Administration Is Overly Manual
a. Complex population, OSV ? Reliance feed issues, manual self-billing, late payments, and claims problems.
Focus: Review benefits configuration, stabilize integrations, and reduce manual reconciliation.
5. 403(b) Integration Failures
a. Retirement integrations are not working correctly.
Focus: Audit mappings, eligibility, and payroll deduction integrations.
6. Talent Acquisition & Compensation Gaps
a. Issues with comp changes, equity reviews, job levels, sign-on bonuses, and even access to job descriptions.
Focus: Review TA and Comp configuration, job architecture, security roles, and business processes.
7. Ineffective Vendor Support Model
a. TopBloc operates via slow, inconsistent ticketing with no optimization mindset.
Focus: Reduce dependency, improve internal knowledge, and establish governance and change processes.
