Overview:
Our client is seeking a hands-on, results-driven HR Director to lead payroll, benefits, and facilities operations while spearheading system transitions and continuous process improvement. This is a high-impact role focused on stabilizing core HR infrastructure, leading the implementation of a new HRIS/payroll/benefits platform, and using data and emerging tools to improve compliance, efficiency, and the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily operations of payroll, benefits, and facilities with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and service delivery
- Manage the transition to a new HRIS/payroll/benefits system, ensuring smooth rollout and high adoption
- Leverage data and AI tools to inform decisions and drive improvements
- Oversee vendor partnerships and enforce accountability to service expectations
- Build and lead a high-performing team with clear KPIs and development paths
- Ensure regulatory compliance across all functions (ACA, FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA, etc.)
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Legal, and Risk for alignment and reporting
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s in HR, Business, or related field required; Master’s or HR certification preferred
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
- Proven success managing payroll, benefits, and facilities in complex environments
- Experience implementing HR systems (e.g., Oracle, Dayforce, Workday)
- Strong crisis management, triage, and problem-solving skills
- Data-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement
- Mission-driven, flexible, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment
