A well-established organization is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to play a key role in the architecture, development, and ongoing ownership of a next-generation technology platform. This position will work closely with technology leadership, product stakeholders, and other engineers to build scalable applications, integrations, automation capabilities, and AI-enabled solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on development expertise with application ownership experience and the ability to mentor other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technology leadership to envision, create, and review application architecture and technical designs.
- Partner with business stakeholders, product management, and engineering team members to design and implement new features.
- Personally develop and deliver production-quality code for significant areas of a next-generation platform from end to end.
- Build capabilities supporting workflow management, customer communications, third-party integrations, AI-enabled process automation, predictive analytics, and related functionality.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance application code on an ongoing basis.
- Establish and follow automated testing best practices within the software development team.
- Perform code reviews and provide technical feedback on team submissions as needed.
- Mentor engineering team members and support their technical growth and development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in a role with primary responsibility for applications or significant areas of enterprise applications.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- In-depth C# experience, including application architecture and ownership, strongly preferred.
- Experience building solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with serverless architecture patterns and services preferred.
- Experience developing Razor and/or Blazor web applications.
- Experience designing data models and relational database schemas.
- Experience working effectively in a fast-paced development environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong conflict-resolution abilities.
- Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
