The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions, initially supporting the Maxton group. This position involves verifying invoices, processing payments, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining accurate records of accounts payable activity.

Job Duties
- Verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Process payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable activity.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Research and answer vendor inquiries.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Develop and maintain filing systems.
- Provide administrative support for the accounts payable department.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- New supplier set-up.
Job Qualifications
- 4+ years of Accounts Payable Experience.
- Opportunity to advance to include additional accounting responsibilities; knowledge of financial and cost accounting preferred
- Plex experience strongly preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skill level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
- Good organizational skills.
